With your child, she will explore issues of kindness and diversity, and acceptance of self and others. I Feel Sad (And That’s Okay)

“At many times throughout their lives, children will feel the world has turned topsy-turvy. It’s not the ever-present smile that will help them feel secure. It’s knowing that love can hold many feelings, including sadness, and that they can count on the people they love to be with them until the world turns right side up again.” — Fred Rogers in You Are Special

April Vacation Zoom Theater Camp

What: 12 half hour sessions that happen on the half hour. Just sign in once and teachers will continuously come into the Zoom space, so no need to re-sign in. Sessions will be a variety of acting, singing, dancing, skit creation and art in true BT4W style.
Why:  We want to continue to connect to our students and offer quality programming. It’s important to us that we not let the current situation prevent students from accessing theatrical opportunities! We are more dedicated than ever to reaching out to our youth to provide them a space to express their creative voice! This camp also serves as an important employment opportunity for our talented staff during this unprecedented time.

Marcie has been our Rising Stars teacher for our Saturday Stars Program for the past two years. She has been working with children in the arts for over 20 years. She is a licensed preschool and elementary teacher with a master’s degree in Creative Arts integrated curriculum. She has studied at NYU’s musical theatre conservatory and traveled the world as a singer/songwriter.

*SOCIAL DISTANCING SPECIAL***

I haven’t been able to perform live for kids in weeks. I teach over zoom, which is better than nothing, but it’s not the same. I miss eye contact and sound that doesn’t buffer. I’m feeling for the children whose birthday parties have been cancelled or postponed, and trying to think of socially distant ways to make them smile during this time.
