Marcie has been taking a break from Saturday event performances this season to direct a group of 7-9 year olds in a production of The Magic Treehouse- Dinosaurs Before Dark, through Beyond the Fourth Wall, a Cambridge based production company specializing in youth theatre. Show is June 15th.
Marcie was recently a panelist at Lesley University for a discussion following the Documentary Film Presentation: No Small Matter. This event event was co-facilitated by the Early Childhood Directors of Cambridge and Somerville Public Schools in Massachusetts. Marcie represented teachers in the area on the topic of best practice for connecting with students in an early childhood setting amid the crisis of lack of funding and resources. “Everyone at the Roslindale Village Farmers market had an amazing time with Marcie. She brought so much energy and excitement to the event! Even in a very large outdoor space like ours, she drew a huge group of people, and every person in the crowd was completely absorbed in the performance. Five stars for Marcie!”

Marcie was honored to be part of the Circle of Hope event yesterday, showing kids of all ages that they can use their time and talents to help those who are experiencing homelessness. “At Full Circle, each child receives a “Passport of Giving” and moves through different stations, completing activities meant to help homeless adults and kids in Boston and Metro West.” It was fun to share a booth with Dan’s Balloons!
Marcie will be performing at Lawrence’s Library’s Summer Kick-off , “Libraries Rock” event on May 12. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Pepperell Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Libraries Rock! is programming designed to encourage children to read over the summer, and to prevent the “summer slide”.
