History
In May 2012, Marcie launched a kickstarter project to fund her dream of making a children’s album. After raising over $3000 from backers all around the globe, Marcie is hard at work and will release her album of 20 songs in Fall of 2012. Full Steam Ahead!
I hope your summer is off to a great start. Thanks to you, I’m full steam ahead in the recording studio for the album.
‘Fetch’ is now a full song as well, and I’m happy to share it on Father’s Day, as my dad worked with me on the piano arrangement and music! Thanks to Anthony Webster as well for the vocal production. I’m so excited to hear that song come more alive with music and vocal harmony.
I’m lucky to have a lot of talented people onboard. Next up are collaborations with Dutch producer Tommy Pulse, Vocalist Solnce Vera Ostrova, as well as Juno Award nominee, MelleeFresh. Also, there is a *PICTURE BOOK* in the works! More news to come!!!!!
New Track Online: “There’s A Bug In My Room”

Can you feel the positivity? I am ecstatic, and humbled to be able to say that the funding goal has been reached with 51 hours left to go!!!!

Thank you for pledging, sharing, tweeting, and all your encouragement thus far. The last 28 days of fundraising have been magical. I’ve been jumping out of bed every day feeling optimistic, creative, and excited. I’ve met wonderfully supportive people, and I’ve knocked on a lot of doors that have opened up to fill me with new inspiration. I value all your involvement, and thank you for taking this journey with me. We will be really proud when we see children smiling and singing along with the songs!
Please keep spreading the word! Any additional funds will go to make the project BIGGER and BETTER, and to put smiles on the faces of as many children as possible!
Thank you,
Marcie
5 year old sings “Fetch”
Hello everyone!
I hope you’re doing well. I’m happy to share with you an audio of a five year old singing “Fetch”. It’s really adorable!! I can’t post a video as I want to respect his privacy, but you can imagine his expression just from the sound of his voice. I told him about Kickstarter, and he drew a picture of “Max The Dog”. He has no idea how much money $3000 dollars is, but he wanted to help garner pledges so he can hear more songs. 🙂
Thank you all for your support so far! We’ve got pledges from all around the world, and a lot of feedback from parents and kids about what they would like to hear.
We’re at almost 70% with 10.5 days to go!! Please keep pushing it to your friends and family if you can.
Thank you,
Marcie
What was your favorite song when you were little?
We’re at 35% with 22 days to go! Thank you!
I’ve got some guest artists lining up, and really humbling support so far from friends, and colleagues.
Here’s a nice article by John Wood about the way music stays with us from childhood:
We Always Remember What We Hear As Kids
It made me think of all the songs that I used to love growing up. What was your favorite?
