YMCA Healthy Kids Day
The Charlestown YMCA on Saturday will hold a free event meant to inspire children to keep their minds and bodies active.
The event will feature arts and crafts, sports clinics and discussions on diabetes prevention awareness as well as a fire truck visit, among other features.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Charlestown YMCA, 150 Third Ave., in Charlestown.
The event is part of the organization’s national initiative to improve families’ health and well-being and will also aim to teach families how to develop a healthy routine at home, according to the Charlestown Patriot-Bridge.
14th Annual Belmont Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 19th 10-11am
Belmont Savings Bank is pleased to be the primary sponsor for the 14th annual Belmont Egg Hunt! The egg hunt will take place in the Chenery Middle School field for children ages 9 and under. Toddlers will hunt in the playground. Bring your camera and take photos with the big bunny!
Organized by the Belmont Activities Committee, a volunteer group of Belmont citizens, Egg Hunt festivities will begin at 9:45 am. Entertainment will be provided by Marcie of Kids Music by Marcie.
The event will be held rain or shine. Free refreshments will be served.

Music with Marcie! (Ages 0-5) at BabyCakes of Charlestown Lively and imaginative classes include some or all of the following: storytime, original and classic sing-a-longs, creative movement, games, manipulatives such as colorful scarves, puppets, theme related crafts, sensory play, and musical instruments. Each child participates at his or her own level by observing and exploring the materials offered. Themes include friendly animals, space, weather, travel, friendship, and more. Starlight Starbright Evening Class (Ages 0-5) at BabyCakes of Charlestown
Kids are welcome to wear pajamas to this evening class as we use music to channel our energy into the bedtime hour. Includes imaginative play with flashlights and bubbles. Peacefully finish the evening with bedtime stories and make wishes on glowing stars. Sweet dreams to follow. This child centered curriculum supports the adult-child bond and includes songs, stories, creative movement, flashlight play, bubbles, puppets, and more. Register HERE
It’s a play date! (0-5 years) at BabyCakes of Charlestown Brrr it’s getting chilly outside! Come to BabyCakes for some non-stop fun! Our space is a great place to hang out and let your little ones roam free in a safe and kid-friendly environment. When it’s too cold for the playground, gather with friends old and new for play time at Baby Cakes! Children will enjoy a variety of enriching toys, crafts, books, and music to promote socialization, fitness, imaginative play. An instructor will be present to promote play and engage the children.Enjoy a morning that is nurturing for the child and comfortable for the parent. Free coffee/tea for the adults is provided.
